This book was created especially for Fred R. Flintstone and Barney A. Flintstone Way to go my beautiful daughter! Love Joan September 2002 On Sep 19, 2002, the lives of Jenny and Clyde of Latrobe, PA were changed forever. They received two very special gifts....two handsome new little boys. Jenny and Clyde had chosen the names Fred R. Flintstone and Barney A. Flintstone for their new little bundles of joy. It seemed to Jenny that Fred and Barney would never be born, but Fred finally arrived at exactly 2:00 A.M. and Barney arrived at 2:01 A.M. at Our Lady of Mercy. Jenny was filled with joy when she heard Doctor Goodwrench say, "Congratulations, you have two handsome baby boys." Wrapped snugly in soft, warm blankets, Fred was handed to Jenny on one arm and Barney on the other, and she held her new little miracles for the first time. She thought Fred and Barney were the most beautiful babies she had ever seen and they were so small and cuddly. Fred's and Barney's births were a brand new beginning for their mommy and daddy. Fred and Barney will get all the love and care they need from their new family, and they will bring lots of joy and happiness to Mommy's and Daddy's lives. Fred R. Flintstone weighed 20 pounds 10 ounces, and was 37 inches long Barney A. Flintstone weighed 12 pounds 5 ounces, and was 30 inches long on this special day, their first! Friends and family were anxiously awaiting Fred's and Barney's births. When they heard the good news, they showered them with lots of gifts. Some were clothes, some were blankets to keep them nice and warm, some were bottles, and oh, some were diapers, of course. All the nurses thought Fred and Barney were the cutest little babies, and they really enjoyed taking care of them. Even the doctors were amazed at these new little arrivals into the world. After Fred and Barney came home from the hospital, they soon settled into daily routines. Jenny was very excited to give Fred and Barney their first bath. Afterwards, she gently covered them with powder and dressed them in tiny, warm baby clothes. Jenny thought about all the babies who are born all around the world, and realized how all parents must feel... that their baby is the most beautiful of all. And, they are right. Many people came to visit Fred and Barney. Wilma, Fred and Pebbles had been eagerly waiting for them to be born. When they saw them, they thought Fred and Barney were the most precious little babies and that their skin was so soft and smooth. Every day, Jenny and Clyde think of how blessed they are that Fred and Barney have become a part of their lives and how full their lives will be in the years ahead. There will be laughter and joy, boo-boos and tears, and really big hugs to chase away the fears. Mommy and Daddy are looking forward to Fred's and Barney's first smile, the first time they crawl, their first steps, the first time they feed themselves, and even that all important potty training time. Often, on bright sunny days, Mommy sits outside and just holds and cuddles Fred and Barney. She enjoys rocking them and singing to them. As she looks at Fred and Barney, her heart is full of love for these special little gifts she has received. Daddy enjoys helping Mommy take care of Fred and Barney. Sometimes he reads to them, sometimes he feeds them, and sometimes he even helps give Fred and Barney their baths. These are very special times for Daddy, Fred and Barney. While Jenny and Clyde were waiting for Fred and Barney to be born, they prepared a room especially for them. They placed two cozy, warm beds for Fred and Barney to sleep in and a big rocking chair so that they can hold and rock them, or just sit and look at them. Sometimes, Mommy and Daddy take Fred and Barney for long walks, and Fred and Barney just smile and coo and make cute little faces all along the way. As they walk, Mommy and Daddy talk about all the plans they have for Fred's and Barney's futures and all the exciting things they will do together as a family. Making memories that will last forever.... Important dates for Fred R. Flintstone and Barney A.
