Booktastic! combines traditional strategic and competitive play with the sharing of modern literary trivia. Players move around a quaint town square of bookstores to buy, sell and trade books on their reading list with money earned from answering questions prior to each turn. The "books" in each store contain real-life information so players learn about noteworthy books, authors, and first edition values. Booktastic Board Game  $28.00 (Free shipping via Media Mail) How to Play Booktastic!Choose a reading list at the beginning of the game then begin moving around the town square of bookstores to collect the books listed. Before each turn, answer one of three question categories to earn money. Casual reader questions have no wrong answer. Avid reader questions are multiple choice. Collector questions are open-ended; the most difficult category. The "books" in each store contain real-life book and author information, along with their associated true values for first editions, so players learn about literature and how book collecting can really pay off. Winning When a player has all four books highlighted on his/her Reading List, he/she announces the game is ending and each player has one more turn to improve their collection. The player with the most valuable collection of books and cash at the end of the game wins. |
