 This world renowned poem was written by a Firefighter, A.W. “Smokey” Linn. In 1958 Linn and his crew responded to a fire in which three children were trapped behind security bars. The children died in the fire.

He was so moved by this incident, the only way he could find to ease his pain, was to put his thoughts on paper. The result was "A Firefighter's Prayer".
