My Balloon Ride (Complete Story) My Balloon Ride was created especially for Trina Anderson at the age of 5 Enjoy your book Mom and Dad November 2008Trina Anderson was very excited as she woke up on that beautiful, sunny day. It was going to be a very special day for her. Her dreams, and now her thoughts, were about the circus which had come to Monticello, IN. She thought about the Big Top, the animals, and the Ferris Wheel. Trina knew that one of the things she wanted was a big, colorful balloon. She hoped that Ron, Mom and Dad would buy one of those beautiful balloons for her at the circus. As Ron, Mom and Dad approached the circus grounds, her excitement grew. They could see the Big Top, the Ferris Wheel, and the raised head and the trunk of an elephant. And, Trina could see something else by the entrance. There was a clown holding those wonderful, big balloons! At the circus entrance, Trina pointed up to the balloons gently dancing in the breeze. The clown wiggled his big red nose, and honked his horn on his belt. "What is your name, little girl?" he asked. "My name is Trina Anderson," Trina answered. Trina asked Ron, Mom and Dad if she could please have one of the balloons. Mom handed the clown money for Trina's balloon. The clown bent down and said, " Trina, will you hold my balloons while I get some change?" Trina answered yes with a large smile. Then the clown handed the balloon strings to Trina. Suddenly, a strong gust of wind began to tug at the balloons. Trina felt her feet leave the ground as she bravely clung to the balloon strings. Before anyone realized it, Trina was floating above the circus entrance. The balloons lifted Trina towards an area where the animal trainer was working with the elephants. Raising their trunks, the elephants saluted Trina on her ride. A parrot, which had been perched on the shoulder of the trainer, flew to the top of Christina's balloons. It squawked, " Trina's balloon ride... Trina's balloon ride." The balloons dipped with the breeze and carried Trina through the entrance to the Big Top. She could hear the voices of Ron, Mom and Dad in the distance. "Hold on Trina! Hold on tightly!" As the balloons lifted Trina up into the center of the Big Top, she could hear the cheers of the crowd below. The Ringmaster was pointing upwards to the tightrope walker, and was amazed to see Trina's with the balloons and her parrot passenger. Trina's ride took her up through the large opening in the tent. The ringmaster and the audience below ran out of the Big Top to follow Trina's wonderful ride. The swirling breezes carried the balloons above the Ferris Wheel. As Trina held on, it looked as if she was dancing on the tree tops. The excited boys and girls on the Ferris Wheel pointed at her. They cheered, as if they wished they could be riding with Trina. The parrot again squawked, " Trina's balloon ride ... Ladies and gentlemen: presenting Trina's Wonderful Balloon Ride!" As the crown below watched, the parrot suddenly used his beak to pop one of the balloons. With a sudden jerk, Trina came closer to the ground. The parrot broke another balloon...and then another! Trina could hear the voice of Ron below, "Hold on Trina, hold on!" She came closer to the ground with each popped balloon. Finally, with only a few balloons left, Trina landed safely between the humps of a large camel. The Ringmaster announced: "Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the star of our show today...Trina Anderson and her Wonderful Balloon Ride!" Trina had come to see the circus. She left that day as the main attraction! THE END Return to order form.Free Birthday Chronicle with every personalized book. Free Shipping for all personalized books!
