Woman in Hospice has last wish: to kiss a horse
102-year-old settles for less intimate interaction
Hospice workers sometimes hear unique requests for a patient's last wish.
Hospice of Marion County social worker Tammy Summers-Wolff said that was the case with Hedwig “Hedy” Sands, 102, whose last dream was to kiss a horse.
“I asked her if a pony would do, and she said,
‘Absolutely not. It's got to be a horse,'” said
Summers-Wolff.
